Hi, I'm Michelle. I am so happy you are here!
I am an American content creator and photographer. Currently based in NYC, although I have been living in California for a few years. On my page, I share a little bit of everything such as everyday style, beauty tips, life hacks, travel inspiration, etc. I find it hard to believe that you have to stick to "one niche" because as a human being with interests and intellect -- you better believe I have more than ONE niche in this massive world!
Where It All Started
I have always had a strong connection with photography since was 13 or 14 years old. I, of course, owned one of the shiny metallic red/pink point-and-shoot digital cameras and brought that with me everywhere I went. In highschool, I was lucky enough to be able to take a film and photography course where I had the coolest experience going on field trips and learning to shoot on film and developing the photos in a darkroom. That is probably what ignited my passion in learning more about photography. I learned mostly on youtube, free websites and just trial and error as I am a true believer of learning as you go. Now fast forward a few years and plus some, I started my instagram account as a hobby to document my food and travel photos but that has now turned into so much more. I am able to capture content for brands of all different types, shoot on site for stores and events, and continue to photograph beautiful things for myself and turn that into a career.
Why is your name "elle_loha"?
It's actually quite simple. Elle comes from my name michELLE and one of my favorite places in this world is Hawaii. As you may know, in Hawaii - they greet each other by saying Aloha. And there, Elle loha was born.
