  • WHAT TO DO AND EAT IN SEATTLE

We have to be the luckiest people on earth. We got back from a weekend trip to Seattle...and it did not even rain once when we were there. WHAT?!

As much as I'd like to say I didn't...well you know, we did all the touristy things because we're truly tourists in Seattle.

Our first stop when we got to Seattle was the Starbucks Reserve. Well we loved it so much, we went three times in the three days we were here. This is not your ordinary Starbucks btw. This is what I call a glorified magical Starbucks experience. They serve REAL food there and have so many different caffeinated beverages. They even have a bar where they serve you coffee type of drinks with alcohol in it. But my favorite were the pastries here. Get the custard brioche and the pizza. You won't regret it.

And of course if you go to Seattle, you HAVE to visit Pike Place Market. This place was so much bigger than I thought it would be. They have vendors inside the market, and also tons of other stores and restaurants outside of it too. I loved it even though it was a bit crowded. The food is surprisingly good too considering it's such a touristy spot. Definitely get the mac&cheese from Beecher's. It's the best mac&cheese I've ever had. Pretty sure.

Walk a little bit further down from the market, and you'll get to their infamous "gum wall." It looks like they cleaned some of the gum off when we went, so it wasn't as gross as I had imagined. Needless to say, I went and got some hubba bubba - blew a bubble - and stuck it on the wall to add to the madness :)

Here we are at Space Needle. The one "thing" you can pretty much see from anywhere in Seattle since it's the tallest (building?) there. Not sure if you'd classify it as a building but nonetheless, it was a cool experience. Make sure you buy your tickets beforehand so you get to go at the time you want. Otherwise, you end up waiting an hour or two to get in.

We also went up on their large Ferris wheel at the pier just for fun!

Here are some of the restaurants we ate at:

    1) The Pink Door -  Definitely make reservations or put your name down early to get a seat. They close their wait list after a certain time. Their lasagna is bombbbb so do yourself a favor and get some!

    2) RockCreek Seafood & Spirits - They've got really good oysters here, and I definitely recommend the "brock-a-fellas" dish. SO YUM.

    3) Tamaribar - This is a Japanese fusion restaurant. Their bento box is really cool. You get 9 different items in it, and the items change daily. I thought it was just a fun experience! The Wagyu beef on hot rocks was delish too :)

    4) Random spot for Seattle Dog's. I'm sure there are plenty of famous spots for this but we got a Seattle dog just to try it because they put cream cheese in it! Surprisingly, it was really good. The cream cheese works really well with the hot dog somehow. Would def recommend getting one just for the hell of it haha!
